Named GP

NAMED GP FOR ALL

As of April 2015, practices are required to allocate a named, accountable GP to all patients (including children).

If you and all new patients registering with the practice will be advised of their 'named GP' on registration.

If you are registered (visit regularly) at Church Surgery Dr Mitchell will be your named GP, if you are registered (visit regularly) at School House Surgery Dr Thompson will be your named GP.

The Practice will be using various methods of communication to advise its patients of who their 'named GP' will be.

As of April 2014 all patients over 75 were required to have a named, accountable GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that Allied Medical Practice provides. Most patients are already aware of their 'named GP', if you are unsure please ask a member of staff. If your 'named GP' is not the doctor you usally prefer to see, this is not a problem, you may continue to see the doctor of your choice. If you are turning 75 you will recieve a letter from the practice advising you of who your 'named GP' will be.
